As part of its commitment to women’s empowerment, CHRICED collaborated with the Kano Ladies Mentors and Mentees Dialogue (KALAMED), WIDI JALO FOUNDATION, and other supporters to host a memorable Iftar dinner on March 20th in celebration of International Women’s Day 2025. The event fostered unity, empowerment, and a shared commitment to uplifting women in Kano.
Held during the holy month of Ramadan, the gathering brought together women from diverse backgrounds for an evening of networking, inspiring Tafseer (Quranic recitation and interpretation), and meaningful discussions on the challenges women face and the pathways to success. Over a delicious meal to break the fast, participants shared insights on self-love, active participation, and collective action as essential tools for driving positive change.
By the end of the event, attendees left with a renewed sense of purpose, connection, and determination to continue supporting and uplifting one another.
