To promote the principles and practice of Human Rights in Nigeria as enshrined in the Constitution of the Federal Republic of Nigeria and in conformity with the African Charter on Human and Peoples Rights, and the United Nations’ Universal Declaration of Human Rights.

To advance the principles of social and economic justice in Nigeria

To promote respect for the rule of law, openness, and accountability in government.

To raise awareness of human rights, democracy, accountability, and good governance, as well as to combat child labour and forced child begging.

To monitor the formulation and implementation of policies that impact on reproductive, maternal, newborn, and child health; girl-child education, as well as indigenous people.

To develop and support innovative programmes for people with disabilities (PWD), women and youth, to enable them to develop self-esteem, and promote mental health, physical fitness and promote social change at community levels.

To bridge religion, social, economic, and cultural divides in Nigeria, as well as to push for public information access.

To organize training seminars, symposia, conferences on critical issues and trends in socio-political and economic development.

To collaborate with other organizations and groups working to promote human rights, democracy, good governance and accountability in Nigeria and elsewhere.
